2020 Virtual Shooting Camp
The aim of the Mike Trader Mid-America Basketball Camp always has been to teach and develop individual skills and fundamentals, develop drills for individual improvement, compete with others in your own age group in contests like 1 on 1, 3 on 3, shooting, free throw, 3 point shootings and many others.
While there is no substitute for the personal attention our coaches provide our campers during our camps, we are pleased to offer a virtual camp option for players of all ages while we await the start of our camps.
This virtual platform is a tool to ensure skill development. This platform will be exclusively virtual and will include individual shot evaluation, shooting lessons and individual skill workouts. All evaluations, lessons and workouts will be conducted by college and high school coaches. We believe this is a great opportunity for players to stay sharp and engaged in skill development while we await the start of our traditional camps.

COVID-19 Update The health and safety of campers is our primary focus. Our summer 2020 camps are currently scheduled to proceed as planned. Like you, we are continually monitoring COVID-19 developments. If it is determined that our camps should be canceled, we will issue campers a full refund within 48 hours of cancelation (minus Ryzer card processing/convenience fees). As an added safeguard our event offers Allianz Registration Protection insurance. For an additional fee, this insurance refunds your full registration fee if camp is held but you cannot attend or must leave early due to a covered injury or illness which includes COVID-19. Virtual Shooting Lessons
Directions: Participants record a video with an iPad or phone of themselves shooting a basketball both off the catch and off the dribble from the free throw line. After the video is recorded, just send it over and we will do the rest!
- Each video should be no more than 2 minutes to avoid issues with file size
- If multiple videos are needed to capture all shots that is acceptable
Camera angles: The video should be recorded from 2 angles:
- straight on (camera under the basket)
- from the side (same side as shooting arm)
- Interactive shooting lessons include a detailed individual shot analysis with evaluation form included
- Each evaluation form will highlight strengths, areas of improvement, and drills to improve
- For best results a pre summer, mid summer, and end of summer evaluation is suggested

Skill Development Workouts
Individual skill development workouts will be sent upon order via email and will include shooting, ball handling, and footwork drills. These are all of the drills we would do at camp and more!
